Have you ever seen anything cuter? Look at those eyes! No idea what he was thinking about and perhaps he was just 'showing off' for the camera. None the less, he stole my heart today!
But it makes you wonder, what his little mind is thinking about. JoJo took so long to start talking and still doesn't say too much. But he certainly listens and understands everything that is said. So what is it he thinks about? I would love to get inside his little mind for just a day. The innocence and the wonder is so far from what my thoughts go through each day. I wish, even if just for a short time, that I could enjoy the pure thoughts of a 3 year old's mind.

Snow day! This year our State pom and cheer tournament was held in Prescott during January on just the perfect weekend! Snow on the ground and a nice little hill for them to play on! It was perfect. They had a blast! Though I was nervous as always that one of them would get hurt in the process but all survived and had a great time! The only sad part was that Jacob was sick so he missed out on most of the fun. But Jon and JoJo and Daddy had a blast!!!
Jacob's Lego Birthday
Well today was the day of the big LEGO bash! I LOVE the party planning and love to shop for decorations, gifts, paper products and to make the cake all to go with the theme! We all brainstormed about games and prizes and fun stuff! The weeks leading up to the party were the best! However, once the first child arrived....I got nervous! BOYS. TESTOSTERONE. LOUD VOICES. MESSES EVERYWHERE. I was scared.
My brilliant idea was to have my dear husband take charge while I ran to get pizza during the party. But somehow, Randy was out the door as quickly as possible. The boys were all building with legos and letting their creative juices flow. It was going just as I planned.....until they announced (after only 20 minutes into the party) that they were done! What do I do now? I open the back door and say- "how about some outside time?" And after the last 4 days of rain and no recess......they were more than thrilled! In fact, they probably scared my neighbors from all the screaming but it kept them busy and out of my house until Randy arrived.
"PIZZAAAAAAA" In they came and ate a ridiculous amount of pizza! Then it was time for cake! While I cut the cake- I suggested Jake open presents. With the help of his friends, that was done with in 2 minutes flat! "CAAAAAAAAKE" And they ate more food!
They were all pretty good- but they were a bit much for me. I'm used to being around girls. I coach girls and have had plenty of experience with girls over the past 15 years. BOYS are a whole new story! I hope Jake had fun because I'm exhausted! :-)

Randy was able to get us tickets for Disney on Ice this year. We haven't been to the show in several years so we thought it would be fun. Jonathan and Jacob had a blast! They were very intent on seeing everything and Jonathan, as always, had many questions. Is it hard to ice skate? How much do they get paid? How did they do that? Do you think I could do that? Yes.....he wants to be the star of Disney on Ice when he grows up!
JoJo on the other hand was very nervous about the whole thing! Our seats were pretty close so he was terribly frightened by the people in costumes! Held on to me and shook with fear a few times but for the most part - he just sat and took it all in. Not too much excitement, but I think he liked it once it was over.
The best part of the show (according to the boys) was Lightning McQueen! They loved the cars on ice!Maybe we'll see Jonathan "on ice" one day.....who knows!

Warm Jammies
Aaaahhhh
I love cloudy mornings! I love the smell of rain and I would really love to stay in my pajamas all day!
But life with 3 boys and a coaching job and running a business does not allow me such luxuries! However- Jojo has the luxury of wearing pajamas all day! Mainly because he refuses to get dressed on most mornings. He'll wear them until HE is ready to get dressed. And though- I should probably make him get dressed, there are a lot of days that I just think to myself- "when else in life can you just sit around in your pajamas and watch Thomas?" So I let him be. I let him enjoy his warm fleece jammies!

Family Pet
The time has come for a family pet. However, I'm not sure we are ready for a dog or a cat or even a gerbil. So a fish it is! Jonathan got one yesterday and it was quite a decision! They brought him home and spent half the night trying to decide on a name for this new family member. Jonathan actually Googled "fish names" to see what we could come up with.
However it was the football game a player on the Jets team who inspired the name of this fish. MACHO! Now, I'm not sure who would name their SON Macho but it's not a bad name for a fish! I prefer to call him Macho Chacho but JoJo calls him MachoMacho and Jonathan calls him Macho Nacho. And Jake just wants his OWN fish!
So today, since Macho made it through the night, Randy took them to the pet st
ore once again so Jake could pick out his fish. Jake's fish's name is Lightning! And he is very proud of him. He even says that Lightning is always looking at him when he walks by. Ahhhh the relationship between a boy and a fish! There is nothing sweeter! :-)

Just Jacob
Papa Gil gave Jake this globe puzzle for Christmas this year and Jake was determined to complete it all by himself. And that is just typical of Jacob! He likes to take on a challenge and work til the end to finish it!
Every year for the boys birthday- Randy tries to make a special pancake breakfast for the boys on their special birthday plate! This year it was the number "8". Not too bad Randy! Candle and all!
For Jake's birthday we all went to the movies to see Alvin and the Chipmunks the Squeakwel. Not my favorite movie but the boys loved it! And the especially loved these life size chipmunks that they saw after the movie!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
New Years Eve
This year we were trying to find someplace to go to "celebrate" the coming of a new year. Kellie Tunnel was in town and wanted to bring in a NEW year after the terrible year she had with the loss of her husband and our friend, Mark. So of course- we all agreed that we would do our best to help her celebrate and start the year off on a good foot!
We started out at our house with some appetizers and drinks. Jay joined us for this part of the evening too so we had to get a picture of all three!
Then we went off to Sangria; a local bar/dance club right down the street! We could have walked if we needed to. The theme for the club was "White Out" but we all decided to wear black! So much for being a part of the theme! All in all we had a great night and lots of fun! Bring on 2010!

The Moments...
This blog starts with my new year's resolution to take more pictures to record our daily lives. I realize as I look back at photos- that I take lots of pictures of vacations, Christmas, birthdays and such. But what about all the other "moments" in our lives that are special and memorable? I rarely take pictures of my boys snuggling in bed together or riding their bikes to school or playing charades. So I thought it was time that I pull out the camera on a daily (ok- maybe weekly) basis to capture some of the more ordinary days and moments that make our family so special.
I realize that I live a blessed life. I have a wonderful family and many, many friends. My family is healthy and though we may not be wealthy- we are certainly not "in need". So just in case there is a time in my life that I don't feel quite so blessed or I am faced with a struggle of some sort- I want to be able to look back on this time and these photos and remember these precious "moments".
