Gaspar Valentine's Day

Holiday love! Doesn't matter the holiday....I love them all! I realize that I want to make each holiday special for my kids and want to give them traditions and memories to hold onto as they grow older. So this year I tried to do a few extra things.

I volunteered to help with Jacob's Valentines party in his classroom and somehow I was put in charge of it! We made little bags with heart shaped eyes, nose and mouth, made HEART bingo and passed out treats. It was fun and I think the kids had a great time! It was great to see Jacob in his class with his friends and I love that he runs to give me a hug when he sees me at school! And to top it all off- he made me a special valentine too! I almost cried because I was so surprised!

For our family Valentines celebration we dressed in red, went to the new Krispy Kreme, went to Anthem park, gave little valentines gifts and cards, had heart shaped macaroni and cheese and let the boys have a "sleepover" in the game room!

The favorite gift of Valentine's day was the M&M's that said "I love Randy, I love Jonathan, I love Jacob and I love JOJ" Not sure they loved the socks or books I got them but the M&M's were a hit!

And of course we got cookies! Lisa brought us all heart shaped cookies to share! They were super yummy too!

We are all loved in this house and I enjoyed sharing the simple things with my boys! I am so lucky to have them all in my life and I hope they realize how loved they are after this Valentines day!

All Aboard!

Anthem Park has a great little railroad that the boys love to go on!  It is a small train and a short ride around the park with one short tunnel, but they love it just the same!
JoJo looks a little unsure when the train begins to move but doesn't show his fear but rather, grabs his big brother's hand. Reassured while sitting next to his brother!

Day at the Park

For Valentines day this year we took the boys to Anthem park.  We had a great time just playing on the playground, riding the train and playing football in the grass.  I saw many smiles like these from all my boys!  It was the perfect Valentines day gift!

Superbowl Sunday!
A day of food, friends and commercials and media hype. But its an American tradition! Or at least a Gaspar tradition! The Colts and Saints play today but ask me a month from now and I won't remember who played and quite frankly- won't really care. However, I WILL be able to tell you who played at halftime!

I think the best part of the SuperBowl (and most football games in general) is the fact that it is an excuse for friends to get together and have a drink or two and eat junk food!

And of course- I love seeing the boys get excited for the first time all football season....just because their friends are there and all of Daddy's friends are around to play football and even a little basketball with them!

I guess I'm always looking for an excuse to hold a party. I love to send invitations, pick out cute napkins, plan the menu, get goodies and gift bags, make shirts, create fun desserts, and have an excuse to use Lisa's Margarita Machine! I love it all!

So bring on the Super Bowl and any other game for that matter! Any excuse for a party!
