It is one of the boys favorite things to do...make homemade pizza. Jake has taken a special interest in cooking this year and today was no different. And of course- JoJo wants to do whatever Jake does so he was right there with him! My little chefs.....

Without kids....
Spring Break! For most it means fun in the sun and time with family and friends traveling to new places. However, for us, this year, it means time to take the boys to Grandma and Grandpa's house! We drove the boys up to Prescott yesterday so they could spend some time with their grandparents. But more importantly- so Randy and I can have some time alone! Thought about getting a hotel but there was really no reason to leave our house when it was quite, calm, and remained relitively clean without children! It was heaven to sleep in this morning. And nice to have Randy bring me breakfast in bed. Didn't have to rush around and beg the boys to get dressed, brush their teeth and make their beds; REPEATEDLY! And didn't have to take 3 kids shopping only to walk away saying "No, you can't have that" 400 times. And we were able to have lunch when we wanted to and without distraction. Randy went to a spring training game while I was at practice and neither of us had to worry about who was taking care of the kids. And we could eat dinner- ONE DINNER! Didn't have to make 4 separate dinners to please everyone. And for me, bathtime meant- actually taking a bath myself without interuption.
Yet- it feels like something is missing. We are enjoying our time alone- but that is exactly how we feel....ALONE. I didn't get to see Jake's sly smile. I didn't get to hear Jon laugh or make a joke. I didn't get to hear JoJo say "I wuv you mommy". I didn't get several little hugs thoughout the day and I didn't get to hear their laughter as they played outside. I didn't get to hold them in their warm flannel jammies and I didn't get to see their peaceful faces as they sleep.
It was a great day for Randy and I. And I'm sure the kids had the time of their lives. But I'll be happy when they are home and in my arms again.

Little League has begun
Beautiful weather, smell of dirt, kids laughing, sound of the bat hitting the ball...all signs of Little League baseball beginning! Last week was opening day and the boys are ready for it! Jonathan is playing triple A with the 'big boys' now and loving it! He is on Coach Coopers team once again and he loves it! And Jacob is on Coach Talbott's team with his best friends, Jack and Jake! They couldn't be happier! Though we have baseball games or practice nearly every night of the week- we enjoy it too! We have made some great friends through baseball and enjoy hanging out with the other parents! And JoJo- well- lets just say he is the 'star' of the field. Every time we walk in to the place- all we hear is "Hi JoJo, Hi JoJo" Everyone knows JoJo and everyone loves him. Especially the girls!!! All the little sisters constantly hold his hand, share their snacks and play with him all game long. I sometimes think he has even more fun than Jon and Jake!
This season will go fast and before you know it- we'll have all 3 playing games! So we'll enjoy the 2 games a day for now!
