The 'forbidden' waterfall...

On Easter Sunday we stopped by a waterfall on the side of the road and I wanted to take a few pictures of the boys.  But there was a sign at the foot of the waterfall that said NO TRESPASSING!  It said something about violators being arrested or something.  Well my little angels did NOT think this was a laughing matter.  They were freaking out and could not believe that their own mother would put them in danger with the law!  "I think I hear the police", "I see a cop car", "What happens if they come here?",  "What will they do to us?".  My little worry worts!  I love it!

Rattler Football

This season I was able to take all 3 boys to the Rattlers games!  Jojo had a great time looking for "HIS daddy" and Jon and Jake really got into it this year!
Jojo loved the 'sticks' until they both popped!
There is 'MY DADDY'!

Easter days

Easter is here!  For some reason the boys LOVE Easter!  Every little thing about it; the decorations, the eggs, the candy, the egg hunt, the baskets and the traditional breakfast with Papa Gil and dinner with Grandma and Papa King.  And of course- a treat box from Grandma and Papa Gaspar!  This year was no different!  The only thing missing this year was Dad!  He was out of town for a Rattler game.  :-(

Growing up...

In the process of cleaning house....I decided I wanted to get rid of this desk that was in the toy room.  So I suggested we put it in Jonathan's room and he jumped at the idea!  So we moved it in, gave him one of the laptops to use and he now had a place to do homework and feel 'grown up'!

Pokemon Tournament?

Yes- I went.  I witnessed the Pokemon Tournament!  We drove down to the Phoenix Convention Center early on Saturday morning so the boys could enter the tournament!  They were so fired up about it all, filled out all the paperwork, formed their teams and were ready to play!  The games lasted no more than 15 mins or so and they lost in the first round.  But they were thrilled to be among "their kind".  Jojo on the other hand was scared to death of the large Pikachu flying over head as well as the life size one walking around.  But we had a great time!

Smoothie

Well....after our great vacation...we came home to a HORRIFIC smell in the house!  Lightning and Macho Chacho were dead.  We had asked Tymon to take care of them while we were gone...however we neglected to tell him how much to feed them.  He fed them a little too much and both are dead.  Jonathan was more concerned about the smell of his room, while Jacob was in mourning.  He immediately sat down to draw pictures of Lighting so he would always remember him.  He hung them on his wall right away.  He was very sad about losing his first pet.

However- that same day, Jacob also lost a tooth.  And when he woke up in the morning, the tooth fairy had delivered a new fish for Jacob!  You can imagine his excitement!  His new little friend is named Smoothie!  Welcome to the family!

Vacation

I love the beach. And I seem to forget how much I love it until I'm there; watching the waves, listing to the seagulls, touching the sand and feeling the warm sun on my skin. I love it all.

Our family was blessed yet again this month when we had the opportunity to spend a week in Coronado, CA thanks to the Nestor family. We stayed in the most beautiful condo with a view of the ocean. We didn't work (much) and we spent time hanging out with the boys. i spent the week taking pictures of my family. I took walks with Jonathan. I held onto JoJo when he was sacred of the waves. Jacob and I shared a moment when we had pizza for dinner while the rest of the boys went to get sweatshirts. And Randy and I asked- WHY? WHY can't we live here? Why don't we make enough money to have a place like this? And Why can't we retire here?

It was a week of heaven! And I am so grateful to have had the time with my family enjoying the weather and the beach. There is nothing better!

For now- we are searching for a way to go back. Even if it is just for a couple days. We are happiest when we are on vacation together without the stress of work. Vacation.....I wish to go back.....
