Jonathan and the Guitar

So excited that Jonathan tried his first guitar lesson this week.  He has messed around on Guitar Hero for years and was beyond expert so we thought it was time that he see if he can play the real thing.  He took a beginners class a year ago that focused on learning the chords and he became bored after awhile.  He wanted to learn songs.  I searched the internet and found a guy who isn't too far from us who teaches out of his home and teaches what they want to learn!  He was so great with Jonathan on the first day and hopefully, inspired him to practice and continue!  Jonathan decided he wanted to learn on the electric guitar so off to Guitar Center tomorrow to buy a mini amp.  Oh boy!  Not sure what I am getting myself into but excited if we found something that he loves!

Love Jake's new friend! They had a great time at the Rattler game last weekend. Neither of them are the "get up and scream" type of kids but I think they had a great time! They are literally 2 peas in a pod. Same silly personality.

Kindergarten Graduation was yesterday.  However, today, JoJo insisted on wearing his graduation hat all day!  He is one proud graduate!  

We went to the book store to try to get them excited about summer reading and I just couldn't resist snapping this picture of JoJo reading a book.  So exciting to watch and listen to him read.  It is truly amazing how quickly they learn and what their little brains are able to do.  I hope his love of reading stays with him!!  Here's to SUMMER READING!

Evening at Grandmas

FINALLY!  The boys have been begging to go swimming at Grandma's house for weeks now and today it was finally warm enough.  Randy and I went out so they went to Grandmas and jumped right in!  Jake doesn't like to swim with Jon around so he and Grandma played UNO instead.

I love that my boys still want to color eggs!  They really got into it this year and used all sorts of items to make the eggs so detailed.  Love this time of year!

I love these girls!

Even the evil eye girl next to me!  There is no better compliment to my years of coaching than to have alum girls want to come back to judge, help and coach the next generation of cheerleaders!  These are just a few of my favorites!!

CCV had a car show this weekend.  We had no idea it would be so huge!  The boys (even the big one) had a great time!!!

Mascot night at the Rattler game....JoJo had a great time tonight because he was able to see his friend, Emma and her sister Addie.  They were just minding their own business and along came the Phoenix Suns Gorilla!  So great to see the JoJo is no longer scared to death of a mascot!
