Since I have made the decision to end my coaching career, I have been dreading these last few games. However, once I am here and the game starts, I enjoy the game itself and watching the elite athletes that Brophy and Xavier produces. But more than anything I love the girls. I love to hear how nervous they are before a halftime. I love to watch then giggle when they see the boy they like. I lie to hear the latest drama or to see the little triumphs when they finish the dance! I truly enjoy my time with the girls and I love to see the familiar faces of my Brophy and Xavier families. I will miss it all. But I have enjoyed the ride!!

The National College Championship
Notre Dame plays Alabama tonight... So far the game isn't going the way we want it to but I will say that it has been fun reminiscing about our trips to see the Irish. Found a few oldies but goodies!
The new room...
We were lucky enough to be able to get new carpet this year right after Christmas. In the process we have tried to "update" every room and decided to do Jonathan's next. We painted and Randy built a shelf for all of his sports memorabilia. It looks amazing but it is no longer a little boy room. It is definitely a room for a teenager.

Tradition
Our family New Year's tradition (as Jonathan would say) is that we do fireworks. This started a few years ago and the boys are hooked! Randy and I have been sick the past few days so they have been begging to do the fireworks! We finally did them tonight! They make me nervous....I'm not a fan of fire! But the boys get such a kick out of it and to see their faces light up is worth every scary moment! Happy New Year; Gaspar style!

Suns Game
We often take it for granted that Jay works for the Suns. But I am thankful that my boys have the opportunity to go to games and events (for free) and get to see and meet players that most kids only dream of! Tonight is no different...a fun opportunity for Jonathan and Jordan.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Its that time again when I reflect on the past year and set goals and resolutions for the year to come. In 2012, our business grew, Jonathan played on his Highland Lakes school teams, we went to Vegas, Los Angeles, San Diego, and to New Orleans for the Arena Bowl. I also went to San Francisco to visit my dearest friends and won another national title with my pommies. We got new carpet, new stainless steel appliances, painted the toy room and got new shutters too! It feels great to finally be taking care of our home and making it beautiful.
As we look ahead to the new year, I am realizing that I want to do more with my home and my family. I want to focus time on our business and learn to delegate more when possible. I have also decided that it is time for me to quit coaching. I am simply stretched too thin and am not able to do all of my "jobs" as well as I possibly can. It was a hard decision but I am confident it is the right one.
And as usual, my goal is to blog and post more pictures! I will try to make every effort to share more of the moments that make me and my family smile.
